Protesters arrested during march in Cape Town

The Police Minister, Bheki Cele, has admitted to heavy-handedness during a protest in Cape Town yesterday. At least 18 protesters were arrested for public violence and malicious damage to property. This was during the End Femicide protest in the City of Cape Town. Hundreds of students and members of civil society want government to allocate more funds to prevent gender-based violence.
