Protester 'killed by birdshot'
Description
About 15, 000 people turned out for the funeral of Bahraini protester Saleh Abbas Habib on the streets of Manama.
The 36-year-old's body was found on a roof top after clashes with police at the weekend during the Formula One Grand Prix.
His family say he was killed by bird shot rounds.
His brother said the body was also badly bruised on the hands, back and legs.
SOUNDBITE: HASSAN HABIB, BROTHER OF DEAD PROTESTER, SAYING (Arabic):
"Only God will bring justice. I can't say anything more. What will they do to them? All I have is God. What can I say? This is all I can say. I have a heart condition."
Clashes erupted between protesters and police following the funeral on Monday.
Demonstrators hurled petrol bombs and stones at a police station in the al-Bilad al-Qadeem district of Manama.
Police responded with tear gas and stun grenades.
The leader of Bahrain's main opposition party is warning the conflict will become more violent if the government doesn't start making real changes.
SOUNDBITE: SHEIKH ALLI SALMAN, LEADER OF WEFAQ, SAYING (Arabic):
"By nature it will. We found that from February to November petrol bombs were not used. They were used after November. In the last few months we've seen some bombings. It's still not clear who carried them out but by logic political deadlock will result in deeper instability."
Bahrain, led by the Al Khalifa family, has been in turmoil since the mainly Shi'ite pro-democracy protests that erupted last year.
The protests were put down with the help of fellow Sunni-led Gulf states including Saudi Arabia but the unrest is not going away.
