Probe after train derails in Italy

Italian police are investigating after a train derailed and crashed, killing one passenger and leaving about 30 injured.

The four-carriage train came off the tracks and crashed on Friday on the outskirts of Naples, its destination.

Fiorella Caccavillo, an injured passenger from Naples, said: "It was crazy, I had a feeling I was going to die, because I realised what was happening and had all the people falling over me, and I couldn't see anything anymore."

Rescue officials in Naples said some of the about 30 people injured were in a serious condition.

The train belongs to the Circumvesuviana, a regional service that connects Naples with small towns, including on the Amalfi coast.

The cause of the accident is being investigated, but officials said early reports and witnesses suggested the train was going too fast.
