Prince Charles at Sundance

Sundance London film and music festival was given the Royal seal of approval over the weekend.

Prince Charles joined forces with festival founder and actor Robert Redford for the premiere his new environmental documentary.

The duo chatted to guests before heading to the screening room - where Redford praised the Prince's continuous efforts to address environmental issues.

"But tonight I think you get to see what this man, what this human being has done to talk about how important human beings are to nature itself."

SOUNDBITE: HRH The Prince of Wales, saying (English):

"Ladies and Gentlemen I must say I am enormously touched and flattered that Robert Redford should even have considered apart from saying nice things about me but also arranging for this film to be shown at his Sundance Festival here in London which as many of you know is the first time it's been outside the United States in Utah."

"HARMONY: A New Way of Looking at Our World." covers a range of environmental issues and shows the Prince's work in this area over three decades.

SOUNDBITE: Prince Charles, saying (English):

"I tried to indicate here and there that there are other ways of operating. There are alternatives, there are holistic integrated ways, more balanced ways, more harmonious ways of devising the way we interact with the world for the future."

Sundance showcases low budget independent features and documentaries, as a counterweight to heavyweight blockbusters which usually dominate the world's cinema screens.

The Sundance London film and music finished on Sunday.
