PREPARING FOR INDEPENDENCE DAY

Staff of the Aguinaldo home, which has since be converted into a national shrine in Kawit, Cavite, prepare for the Independence Day rites on June 12, 2022. Aguinaldo's residence, where then president Emilio Aguinaldo declared independence from Spain in 1898, is where the Philippines' top officials raise the Philippine flag to commemorate the event.
