The day when you were waiting
For the moment to see me crown
That was the first day when I hurt you
The day when I was born

Then the time began
When my hollering became rampant
You spent sleepless night
It was more than frequent

Slowly I started to grow
With my small teeth starting to show
When I took my first step
On your face there was a glow

Sometimes there were days
That came with cold and fever
But then there was your warmth
To prevent me from shiver

Soon came the time
When I entered the learning pool
The knowledge started flowing
You thought me the art to spool

As the days went by
My demands started increasing
You started killing your wishes
And gave me everything as a blessing

After seeing many a monsoons
I boasted I have grown in age
And then your little advices
Were paid back only with rage

I didn’t really have the time
To walk with you on the lobby
I didn’t even remember
That I am a part of your body

Today when I give it a thought
On myself I do frown
I always did hurt you
Since the day I was born
