Prannoy Mathew - A Tree

I think I shall never see a poem
As lovely as a tree.

A tree whose hungry mouth is preset
Againest the Earth's sweet flowing crust

A tree that looks at God all day
And lifts her leafy arms to pray

A tree that may in summer wear
The nest of robins in her hair

Upon whose blosom snow is lain
Who intimately liives with rain.
