Power problems at Kings Island amusement park shut down rides for two days in a row in Mason, Ohio. A power surge on Monday, May 15, caused the rides to shut down for about 20 minutes, according to a report</a>.The rides were shut down temporarily on Tuesday because of a power flicker at the Duke Energy’s substation outside the park, the report said. The power problem was reported just after 2 pm, and rides were back up and running within an hour.On Monday, the park closed at 8 pm, about 30 minutes after the power problem shut down the rides.
