Poverty Over: inequality

Brazil is one of the world's richest countries, but also one of the word's most unequal countries. Poverty here is all about power - or the lack of it. While the corridors of power remain largely closed to Brazil's poor, the country's laws and policies will continue to favour the elite. As part of the multinational Power to the People project, funded by DFID and Christian Aid, our local partner INESC is working to prise open the doors of government to people who have always been left out.
