Post Cards - A Butterfly Still

My perfect love
at once contained
within a pearl of time and space
still glimmering though locked away
deep in my soul encased

A butterfly suspended, cast
forever in a sphere of glass
Your colours vivid as the day
you ceased to fly at last

I dwell for hours in your completeness
but always with a bitter sweetness
your wings to never beat again
stir in my heart a hurricane
