Pope Francis leads first Easter vigil mass

MANILA, Philippines – On Easter Sunday, which celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his crucifixion, Pope Francis delivered a simple homily. He recounted the Bible story of the women who went to Jesus’ tomb, but were surprised to find it empty.The Pope urged Catholics not to be ‘afraid of God’s surprises,’ and, if they have strayed, to let God back into their lives.
