This one view illustrates so well just why zoos in India need to buck up and change with the times, or shut down altogether! Unless they can provide an animal with adequate space to roam and hide from the disturbance of visitors, and live a modestly peaceful life with just a modicum of wild spaces, they have no business encaging a large animal such as this Sloth Bear in such a tiny space.
