There'll be no summer camp this year for Vivian and Max, both thirteen years old, because the factory where their parents work is due to close down. While their parents fight to save their jobs, Vivian comes up with a plan to earn some money that will allow the kids to go away. Accompanied by Tom, their childhood friend, they throw themselves, heads down, into a race against the clock.
