Police help Facebook to stop terror attack live-streaming
Description
The Met's firearms officers have begun filming their training sessions as part of an initiative to help stop terrorists live-streaming attacks online. The training footage will be shared with Facebook to help it develop technology that can identify live-streaming of shootings on its website. Commander Richard Smith, head of the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command said sharing the training footage will allow Facebook to build algorithms to identify live-streamed terror footage "very quickly".
