PM Modi's game-changing move on farm reforms

SAD leader Harsimrat Kaur resigned from the Narendra Modi cabinet on Thursday night objecting to three farm bills, meant to replace three Ordinances notified in June. The events unfolded as farmers' protest intensified in Punjab, which goes to polls in about 18 months.

This comes even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi tries to defend the bill. He has hit out at the Opposition and Congress over the controversy surrounding the 3 farm bills taken up in Parliament.
