Phillip Alan Green - Reflection
1 Views • Jun 15, 2014
Description
At life as it passes by,
Ignoring all the chatter,
Feeling inside that life, just doesn't matter,
Each day I look within,
So I can see myself,
And ask him what its all for,
I question the child in the mirror.
My reflection,
Weeps in the corner,
From huddled state he stares,
Asking why I should care.
So inside I huddle too,
While day-by-day I stand,
Against the tide of life, searching to be free,
Each second that threatens to wash over and engulf me.
I am drowning,
The child in the mirror is me,
But he stays to haunt my life,
Telling me everything, in one twist of the knife.
Is my reflection a man?
Through misty eyes I strain,
But all I see,
Is the reflection that is me.
