Philippines to investigate flood disaster

Officials in the Philippines say they have lost count of the number of missing people after flash floods in two southern cities.

Almost 300.000 people have been displaced and at least a thousand are known to have died. 
 
The Red Cross is appealing for $2.8m dollars to help their humanitarian efforts.

Meanwhile a Philippine task force is investigating whether the disaster was more man-made than natural.
