Philippines destroys fake goods
Description
These fake Ray-Ban sunglasses are about to meet their fate.
Philippines authorities crush over 150 million U.S. dollars' worth of counterfeit products.
All of them, including shoes, DVDs and even presciption drugs, were seized in raids across the country between January and May.
The government says it's part of a campaign to educate the public, and break their habit of buying fake merchandise.
Counterfeit products have a huge market in the Philippines, as they're often many times cheaper than the authentic alternative.
