Why must you shelter from me?
I long for you;
Your love sustains me
Your soul quenches the desire
in my burdened heart and fills my spirit's yearning
As water is the essence of life's being,
Your presence immerses with new life
a heart once filled with emptiness
My life is a desert without you;
for you are the oasis that brings my soul to life.
