It was a day of sunset - raining emerald life
on the watery sky
Avian spirits
swam through the air,
'laughing'
in their freedom like floating acrobats
joyful with a Mother's pride

And under blue hands,
fatigued in her brilliance she stood

Her feet now secure in their cradle
drunk with the warm equinox of
summer

Her flaxen hair falls with
death tales
of new birth
For now,
a cold divinity sweeps over like Poseidon's waves

Long has she stood drowning in the rich fire of
day
Long has she waited to rest.
