Pharrell the feminist?
12 Views • May 27, 2014
Description
He’s already a Grammy award-winning producer, singer, fashion designer and global super star. Now Pharrell Williams is branching out into contemporary art, curating an exhibition at the prestigious Galerie Perrotin here in Paris. It’s called G I R L, just like his new album, and Pharrell says it's about "celebrating all women".
France 24's Claire Williams went along to see if the singer, known for dancing with half-naked women, can successfully blur the lines between rap and women's rights.
Also on the show, we check out an exhibition in Norway that puts the free lifestyle of Hells Angels bikers in the driver’s seat.
Finally, we meet British artist Guy Denning as his emotive work goes on display here in Paris at his show "The Party is Over".
