TODAY

It seems we get so used to things so quickly
A life lived, easily forgotten and left behind
We move on, embracing each day as it comes
Yet sometimes my heart yearns for yesterdays gone by
In the days when I thought I could fly
With the pure bliss of it all
Your skin
My beautiful sin
Enveloped within
Wanted to put those moments on hold, keep the world from its spin
And stay
But that was yesterday
Today is a different life again, another sea to learn to swim
Try not to give in
