Peter Wright: I'm coming after the winner's bonus!

Peter Wright has set his sights on overthrowing Michael van Gerwen and securing the £25,000 winner’s bonus in the PDC Premier League.

Wright beat 16-time world champion Phil Taylor 7-3 at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham to mathematically secure a play-off place.

Van Gerwen’s 6-6 draw with Dave Chisnall meant he couldn’t secure the top league spot in that run of fixtures, so ‘Snakebite’ could yet catch him.

Wright has now set his sights on beating Adrian Lewis and Raymond van Barneveld in his last two league games, while MvG has Taylor and Gary Anderson.

There will be no letting up from the 47-year-old Scot, who is coming into more form at the business end of the competition. He spoke to Tungsten Tales reporter Craig Birch.
