Peter Wilder - Early Morning
6 Views • Jun 11, 2014
Description
Sun tries to break through the cloud.
Run for the train, through the wind and the rain,
Head down, headlong through the crowd.
There is nothing I’ll miss, at the end of all this,
When the world slowly comes to an end,
And I’ll gladly lay down in the poisonous ground
That I tried in vain to defend.
Early morning, ice is forming,
Intricate shapes on the glass.
Sunlight glistens on crystals of ice,
As they cling to the trees and the grass.
And its moments like this, fleeting glimpses of bliss
In between all the sorrow and pain,
That cause us to ache and to bend ‘til we break
And re-build our lives over again.
