Description
He used to work as a manager for nuclear power plant construction firms. But after the Chernobyl disaster, he made an about-face, and today he favors a total ban on nuclear power. And he’s managed to achieve that in the city of Potsdam, where he heads Energie & Wasser GmbH (EWP), the city’s public utility company. For the past 6 months, EWP has not purchased any electricity generated from nuclear power. Other public utility companies across Germany are planning to follow suit.
