Peter Generazio - Gratitude

I once had a life and morals, I chose to throw them away.
I've made all the wrong decisison, and my purpose in life went astray.
The time had come when I had enough emptiness, and too much pain;
It was time to do things different, no more life in the fast lane.
I turned to you God for answers, but I wanted them real fast,
you taught me patients and tolerance. and no more living in the past.
You put wonerful people in my life, I knew I had to let them in.
Day by day I started to change, and the miracle started to begin.
My faith in you increased daily,
because I have practiced what I have been taught,
my anger is gone and my caring increased,
and there is less feeling of distraught.
My purpose in life ls to love, forgive and to pray,
I keep things simple, and try to be of service,
and I 'm so grateful to you God for another day.
