3 Views • Aug 18, 2018
Description
Peter Berg doesn't shy away from tough subjects.
He tackled terrorism in 'Patriot's Day.'
He talked about corporate corruption in 'Deepwater Horizon.'
Now he's taking on CIA special operations.
His newest movie is Mile 22.
Berg sat down with Uproxx for an extensive and juicy dish-fest.
The director became fascinated with the CIA Special Activities Division and the ground branch.
He started researching the paramilitary division of the CIA.
How did making the movie change his view of America?
---I feel like it’s a higher level of patriotism than what most of us are used to dealing with. And the more research I did on the ground branch, the more convinced I was that made it the right decision. Really, it is a remarkable group.---
Mile 22 is in theaters now.
