The dedication was on May 18,2016, ...with a bit of ribbon cutting the Mayor of Waycross, John Knox, and the City Commissioners, the Chamber of Commerce, Ware County Commissioners officially gave the city block sized greenspace its new name: The “Pernell Roberts Memorial Park” .
