Perfect Fool - Liquid Violence

That which gives me strength
As the stream runs red
Pouring like liquid violence
From a cut in my head

I falter in thoughts and
There’s a knick in this knife
Look at that pretty mess
Made from this pretty life

The love for this is blind
The need for it, so real
It takes from me so much
So much I cannot feel

Let this river run its course
Let the emotion flood out
Ignore it as it falls away
Wrapped up in doubt

To know I can still bleed
Makes me feel I'm still alive
Stone cold and dead inside
And lacking every will to survive

This which gives me strength
Every slash and twist
This self-induced violence
From a cut on my wrist
