The event was won by Nicolau von Rupp in 9+ feet waves at Carcavelos Beach, Portugal. Nic took the win for the second year in a row, defeating Ruben Gonzalez (2nd), Marlon Lipke (3rd) and António Silva (4th) in the final. (Tiago Pires's won the 1st edition in 2011.)

This is a special event that requires excellent surfing conditions. The competition fits a 2 months waiting period over which wave & weather forecast is closely monitored by Surfline specialists to make sure the event runs in perfect, spiting barrels.

Also, Perfect Chapter features a special surfers-selection system. Participants are elected by the fans (through an online voting system) from a list of athletes previously chosen by the event's organizers in association with a group of Portuguese surfing experts, leading to the 13 final contenders plus 3 wildcards, these guys being the best tube riders in Portugal nowadays.

The movie will present never-seen footage of the competition itself, as well as backstage details which will reveal the behind-the-scenes intensity of the event.
