When fighting with a long-tailed macaque, a proboscis monkey fell off in the river. Proboscis monkey are excellent swimmers, but this one was in trouble… May be injured? And boats on the river became to be a threat for him. I decided to help him. In this situation, completely improvised, with no equipment or cage, its crucial to be quick, to minimize the stress of the animal. It’s necessary to be a little hard when handling the animal, to avoid any bite.
