2 Views • Sep 04, 2018
Description
Gulf coast beaches were preparing for the arrival of Tropical Storm Gordon on Tuesday morning, September 4, stacking sandbags for an expected storm surge and moving items that could fly away in the winds.
This video from Pensacola Beach shows a city forklift moving a lifeguard stand to a safer area.
Gordon is expected to be a hurricane when it makes landfall later Tuesday. Hurricane warnings are in place from the mouth of the Pearl River at the Mississippi-Louisiana state line to the Alabama-Florida state line. Pensacola Beach is under a tropical storm warning.
