Pen anthony - Saving my heart

I'm throwing in the towel and calling it quits,
am giving in and tasting defeat
I'm giving up on my quest for a sincere
affection, yes i am.
I've been gullible never learning as i tend to
lean much on the not so trusting.
I've gone against my better judgement and
fought for those that break my heart, always
quite the forgiving i still home them in the
debris of my heart.
Time and again i've loved and lost never
finding, yet somehow i don't know how my
heart wrings them out but it does manage to
eject them leaving a vacancy echoing an ache
of a lost love.
Never again as am throwing in the towel and
saving my heart, yes i am.
I'm throwing in the towel and to surrender i
will to the will of a mourning heart.
