Peloton Scrutinized By Regulators

U.S. regulators are looking into reports of multiple injuries and even the death of a child involving Peloton’s ($PTON@US) treadmills earlier this year. The Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security subpoenaed Peloton looking for documentation of these injuries and incidents. Peloton initially claimed there was no reason to stop using its products over safety concerns. After benefiting from the home fitness boom during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 and early 2021, Peloton shares dropped almost 8% in premarket trading.
