She *hovers* over her heart
protecting the shattered pieces
with fake glue
trying to hold it together.

She secretly knows he's not right
(does she?)

She knows in the shadows
lurks a sullen love she wants
(maybe one she needs)
-don't touch me- she screams silently

folding in upon herself
don't touch me
