Paula Glynn - Paint Me A Rainbow

I look to the sky:
The sunshine blue sky,
And imagine the rain,
Falling like tears from the clouds,
And I see airplanes,
Disappearing as quickly as they appear,
Even before you realise,
And the clouds are white,
After the rain, the sun shining through,
Like rays from heaven,
And then, like magic, a rainbow appears,
Just like a painter working a canvas,
So paint me a rainbow,
In a beautiful blue sky,
Show all its colours,
As if we're on an airplane that does fly,
And when we reach the end of the rainbow,
We shall find that pot of gold,
Like a treasure chest,
Hidden by a pirate,
That holds such mystery,
Of a day that must unfold.
