Paul Sebastian - Migrants Plight
5 Views • Oct 29, 2014
Description
Seeking refuge in a foreign land
Our sons killed, leaving us bereft
Saving family members, while we can
No place to call home
All our savings taken
Starkly death before us loom
Our spirits shaken and broken
Arms out-stretched we ask acceptance
A temporary make-shift shelter to stay
To subsist, some sustenance
And count blessings of each living day
The wise said: 'All men are brothers'
Blind to origin, background and colour
Dignity proper as God's primed creatures
Till our return to homeland when it's over
Men of goodwill would stand proud
Having shared love, as people of God
