Paul Sebastian - Become a Blessing

Years account his strength and might
Men touched him before wars they fight
Blessings or not, a god-like mighty, they thought
"Touch wood, " said, hoping for some luck sort
Though strong, tall and mighty stood he
Mere God-like wonder creation: an oak tree!

No man stands tall, strong and mighty
Had he not gone through life bravely
Weathering winds and years of life storms
An oak amongst men, endowed in wisdom

Such man is not born out of chance
Nor raised from a lucky circumstance
But man who taste more of life
Who face life struggles and survive
Who walk paths, few would go
Who gets up after every heavy blow
Who relentlessly seeks knowledge
Who vice-grips a dream till full age
Who lives to become the best he can be
Whose spread shades, the bruised many
Stand tall, strong and firm as an oak tree
Thanking God for who he has come to be.

Spare not trials and spoil the child
Let him learn life, facing the world
Education's not mere grades, getting a degree
It's becoming "oak-tree" leaders, you'd agree
Life is tough, but the tough gets going
Facing-up tough times by overcoming
Life awaits courageous men for greater things
To usher these through the doors of happiness
