in the fields of grey
on a rainy day
where the birds mock the clouds
with voices loud
where flowers pain
to spite the rain
and show their bloom
to lift the gloom
where trees weep tears of green
on a shinning stream
of darting fish
ill shake my fist
at the concrete men
who intend
to lay it bare
and standing in there
forest of fuming stacks
houses back to back
with cute little cul du sacs
and roads of black
where houses hide the purple hills
with their sides the views they kill
where sunsets are hid
by a houses lid
i weep my tears
for the years
mother nature ruled
but now the fool
