I wait by the window
crying the nights away
wanting to love

with this frail heart of mine
it slowly aches while winter blows
where the warmth should be

i wait by the window
crying the days of a cold
winter night

no candles will warm the cold
no lights this abyss of winter
is an old friend

it says these walls
will be the cold winter
