I search the sky
For signs of rain,
Signs of trouble,
Signs of pain;
I search it,
Like a febrile brain-
For things they say
Won't come again.

I search the sky,
The starry plain,
For things the others
Might disdain;
And sense God there,
Just like a stain-
For when Light waxes,
Darkness wanes.
