Ripley's Believe It or Not, under the management of Minor International PCL is organizing an event to attempt two new Guinness World Records of "The Longest Stay with 5,000 Scorpions" and
This event begins on Monday December 22nd, 2008 and will end on Saturday, January 24th, 2009 at Royal Garden Plaza, Pattaya. Mrs. Kanehana Kaetkaew will create a new World Record by staying with 5,000 scorpions for 33 days and 33 nights consecutively. She will defy her very own Guinness World Record of staying with 3,400 scorpions for 32 days made in the year 2002.
With the previous success from Guinness World Record event, we believe that it would attract more than 20,000 visitors per day which would total up to at least 600,000 visitors for this event and would also receive both local and international press coverage from Reuters, CNN, NHK and much more.
Currently, Ms. Kanchara Kaetkaew resides in Suratthani with her husband Mr. Boonthavec Seangwong who is also known as the King of Centipedes. The couple joined the deadly marriage ceremony organized by Ripley's Believe It or Not! on Valentine's Day in the year 2006.
