He was so smart and sunny

Always smiling - good day to everyone

I know him
Loveliest smile I've ever seen
Makes a rainy day shine
That man Norman

Today's the day
I know how it goes
Autumn and winter - they call it
Just got old - my friend Norman

I know him - he's a friend of mine
Together all my life - that man Norman

Look at him now
Bent forward - eyes to the ground
Dirty, grey hair - washed today
Life was all right - never fair

I know him
Through the old days
That I'll never forget
That man Norman

Bluest of eyes
They never looked to mine
A good, good man
That man Norman
