As true as the blue bird flies my love
As sure as the breezes shall rustle through yon' tree
So shall my mind never misplace thee

Sure as the blossoms in May
And the robin sings her song
So shall my heart yearn for thee

Though man may take these beauties
Forgetting they are but gifts
