Description

Watching rain drops on a cool spring day
Hearing the sound against the roof top
Seeing the crystal drops slide down the window
Simmering little diamonds

The stillness forms and heaven turns the faucet off
The robins wash their feathers
In the puddles in the drive
A single droplet hangs from the petals of a crimson red rose
Slowly sliding into the heart of its blossom

The earth has an air of clean wash
Peeks begin from the sun
As its rays absorb the lil’ diamonds
The clouds surrender
And the majestic ball of warmth makes her debut

Shedding the summer sandals
Barefoot as a child
I join the robins
Walking through the cool clear puddles
Feeling the tingle of childhood memories
Splashing and laughing
And once again I have found the inner child
