Increasing violence in the Northwest of Pakistan has displaced hundreds of families, and many - as we've been reporting - have fled to neighbouring Afghanistan.
They often end up in the Afghan province of Khost.
But among the flow of refugees, local Pashtun tribes are also working to secure the region against Taliban and Al Qaeda fighters.
