Pascal's Blaising Barrel

A dramatic and counterintuitive demonstration of Blaise Pascal's laws of hydrostatic pressure. The pressure in a fluid depends only on the height of the fluid, not on the total weight of the fluid. So, just 1 liter of water, when poured into a tall thin tube, can create enough pressure to shatter a large glass barrel.
