PAS backs Dr Mahathir, says commitment for Semenyih polls different

PAS will throw its full support behind the leadership of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad until the next general election, says its secretary-general Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan.

He said a sample of a written declaration was given as a commitment of support by PAS to Dr Mahathir’s leadership on the basis of upholding the interest of religion, the country and race until GE15.

Takiyuddin however said there was no written declaration or any other letters to the Prime Minister with regard to the Semenyih by-election.
