it is not your sympathy that i want
nor do i want your love for me
all i want to know is why?
it's not meant to be. sigh!

i feel sad and wasted
defeat is all i feel i tasted
i wish i knew if there was hope
coz then i'll show i'm not a dope

you said that everything will be normal soon
why then do u come every night in the moon?
your being so nice doesn't even help
coz it drowns me deeper into ur well

neither here nor there nowhere i stand
and all that i see is your smiling self

you dont even think about this ailing soul
the thought leaves in my heart a big hole
weird the pain is mine but the heart yours
what enigma have i come across?

if this is love then sure it stinks
of the pain and wounds to its brink
