Parker (Jason Statham) est un braqueur professionnel avec un code de conduite : ne jamais voler ceux dans le besoin, ne jamais blesser d'innocents. Lors d'un hold-up, il se fait doubler par ses associés qui lui dérobent sa part du butin et le laissent pour mort. Déterminé à récupérer son dû, Parker retrouve leur trace à Palm Springs alors qu'ils préparent un braquage particulièrement ambitieux. Aidé de Leslie (Jennifer Lopez), une agent immobilière sans le sou mais particulièrement ambitieuse, Parker planifie alors sa vengeance.
